The Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky African American Chamber of Commerce (AACC) announced that its CEO Eric Kearney will be awarded a Distinguished Hispanic Ohioan Award by the Ohio Commission on Hispanic/Latino Affairs (OCHLA).
Kearney will receive the Nuestra Familia (Our Family) Award, awarded to non-Hispanic individuals or organizations that encourage the inclusion of Latinos in Ohio and are committed to making Ohio a welcoming place for all. An official ceremony will be held at the Statehouse in December to commemorate the awardees.
“I am honored to have been chosen to receive this award,” said Eric Kearney, President and CEO of the AACC. “The work that we do at the Chamber is important to everyone, and I hope that we continue to have a positive impact that benefits communities across Ohio.”
Each year, three awards (Distinguished Hispanic Ohioan, Military Service of Distinction and Nuestra Familia [Our Family]) are awarded to outstanding members of the community and organizations that strive to improve the lives of the Latino community, as well as, the general public.
