Wilbert (Ricky) Pleasant, Financial Advisor Provided

    The Cincinnati Minority Business Assistance Center (MBAC) has announced that Wilbert (Ricky) Pleasant will be its new Financial Advisor. With an extensive background in financial literacy, strategic planning, and community engagement, Pleasant brings expertise to support the financial growth and stability of minority-owned businesses in the region.

    Pleasant joins MBAC from the Urban League of Greater Southwest Ohio, where he served as a Financial Empowerment Coach. In this role, he provided one-on-one coaching to clients, helping them build financial stability through personal finance strategies, budgeting, credit building, and entrepreneurship workshops. His focus on fostering financial literacy and goal-setting has helped many in the community achieve long-term success.

    “Ricky’s proven track record in financial literacy and deep commitment to the community make him an invaluable asset to MBAC,” said Deborah Davis, Regional MBAC Director Cincinnati. “We are excited to have him on board and can’t wait to see the impact he has on the community by working with our clients.”

      In his new role as Financial Advisor at MBAC, Pleasant will focus on helping entrepreneurs navigate the complexities of financial management, from budgeting to investment strategies, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge needed to sustain and grow their businesses.

    Pleasant has also held roles as the Dean of Students at the Art Academy of Cincinnati and Program Coordinator at the University of Cincinnati in Student Support Services.

     Pleasant holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Alabama A&M University, graduating cum laude. His passion for financial education and community development is reflected in his work with organizations such as the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber’s C-Change Leadership Program and the Ohio Trio Association.
